Manger Zone

As the story is told, Joseph and his immaculately pregnant wife Mary are heading from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

Due to the upcoming Roman census, Bethlehem is crowded. I’m sure that much like a red state, nobody wanted to rent a room to a couple of immigrants who were having a baby out of wedlock, but that’s another story.

Mary and Joseph can’t find any room at the inn, so they have to settle for a stable. That’s where, as we all know, Joseph found a taste for sheep; an addiction that would haunt him for the rest of his days.
