A Song About April

Are you like me that you keep hoping, you keep thinking that maybe 2024 will redeem itself? Then, you look back at the month of April and say to yourself, “Jesus, this shitshow has no end.”

See my interview with McLaren F1’s Lando Norris.

Same wars. Same orange turd in court. Same IRS due date that irritates us all.

There were some surprises, however. All captured in my “A Song About April.”

Who even knew that O.J. Simpson was sick? And just like that the Juice is, once again, feeling the heat. “If murder you commit, in hell you will sit.” Now doubt, he’s chatting up with Johnnie Cochran as we speak.

Taylor Swift surprised Swifties with a new album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” All part of the deep state’s plan to steal the election. <Insert a Dark Brandon meme here.>

Then we had the state of Arizona resorting to abortion law penned before Abraham Lincoln was shot. Yeah, let’s go with a law written when a lot of people thought that slavery was not only cool, but worth going to war over. Brilliant.

What else happened? Well, I cover it in my Song of the Week, a quick recall of the month of April, 2024

LYRICS

In Arizona, it’s the 1860’s,
But it’s been a great month for all the Swifties
Trump’s been napping at the counsel table,
But there’s much more to the month of April

Caitlyn Clark said, “Pay me.”
The IRS said, “Pay me.”
And “Baby Reindeer” made us ugly cry
“The Path of Totality,” somehow we survived

Morgan Wallen can’t handle his liquor
OJ stopped searching for his ex-wife’s killer
And Britney Spears is still unstable
One of many things, we learned in April

UConn goes back-to-back
Reggie got his Heisman back
And Tennessee teachers will be armed
Instead can we arm the dogs on Kristi Noem’s farm?

April
