Last week, after 10 years of near silence, Monica Lewinsky gave her side of the Bill Clinton affair in an interview in Vanity Fair.
“It’s time to burn the beret and bury the blue dress,” says Lewinsky.
She’s now 40 and, to her credit, looks a lot like she did back in ’99 when she testified about the tryst that threatened to bring down an American president.
Obviously, a subject such as this is ripe with parody opportunities. Why, however, did I choose a minor hit by Ginuwine to tell the story? “Same Ol’ G”, really? At the time, I must have thought it was a good idea.
