Song of the Week: Hockey

Tonight, hockey is back as the Vegas Golden Knights embark on their fourth NHL season from T-Mobile Arena hosting, newly formed Honda West Division rival, Anaheim. While it’s a shortened 56 game schedule, a Stanley Cup will still be awarded and therefore my Song of the Week: “Hockey.”

The Ducks, over the past four seasons, have not been lucky against the VGK, losing 10 of 12. And the matchup for game one for both clubs does not seem to favor Orange County’s squad. While Anaheim is rebuilding it seems the Golden Knights are reloading.

Gone are Paul Stastny to Winnipeg and fan favorite Nate Schmidt to Vancouver. However, the Knights picked up the prize of the off season, star blueliner Alex Pietrangelo from St. Louis. His addition, have placed VGK in the top three of the NHL’s Power Rankings behind defending Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay and fellow west division combatant, Colorado

As in years past, a little something to get the Vegas Born faithful on their feet. In honor season #4 for the Vegas Golden Knights, I parody Pharrell’s “Happy.” Yes, it’s that simple. It’s my Song of the Week: “Hockey.”
