Let me be clear. I am not a hater of Taylor Swift. If anything, I am immensely jealous of what this incredible woman has achieved.
Learn Spanish before the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Learn how!
She’s a self-made billionaire, for the love of gawd. She is a prodigious songwriter, talented singer, and tireless performer. And despite her choice(s) in men, Travis Kelce included, she is incredibly smart, kind and generous.
I will say this, there’s a reason why she’s got that three comma money.
The girl markets herself. From re-recording and re-releasing her entire library, to boxsets, and limited editions available at Target, some Swifties buy the same song a dozen times. Do they know it? Do they care?
If you watched last year’s Super Bowl and didn’t Taylorgate, you’re not a real fan.
When Taylor announced her new album. (She wrote and recorded while finishing up the biggest tour in the history of tours and flying around the country to watch her boyfriend play football.) She went to the well again with Easter eggs, and QR codes, and a movie based on the making of that album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
This Woman Knows Marketing
I’m not saying she doesn’t earn every penny, but it definitely is marketing plan best described as Cash-Grab-a-Rama!
Using the Barry Manilow classic, “Copacabana,” here’s a parody song in honor of Taylor Swift’s business saavy. PS: “The Life of a Showgirl” movie premiers in theaters October 3rd.
