Wasn’t there a song written with the lyric, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year?” I think the song is actually called that. Not many people know but it was written to celebrate Mariah Carey season.
Sure, you’re getting $5,000 “After the Midterms!”
That amazing time of year just after Halloween and New Years where every radio station, every grocery store, every shopping mall plays Mariah’s holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas is You” in heavy rotation.
Since 2019, it has topped the charts for the past seven holiday seasons. In fact, it has spent 22 non-consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. “All I Want” has spent 78 weeks on the chart, making it the longest-charting song for any solo female artist ever.
To get you ready for Thanksgiving, check out a parody of “Wrecking Ball,” titled “Butter Brawl.”
Consider this the official kick off of Mariah Carey season. A celebration of the most beloved, most overplayed song in the history of the holidays. A tribute to the legendary ear worm the song has become that finds you humming it unconsciously, randomly while doing the most menial of tasks.
Merry Mariah Carey, everybody!
