Thanksgiving seems to have a lot of moving parts this year. Out of respect for the time honored tradition of arguing with relatives on Thanksgiving, I present my Song of the Week: “Butter Brawl.”

There are all kinds of COVID advisories and restrictions in play. Many health experts are discouraging family get togethers for Turkey Day. Over the last nine months of this pandemic, we can say one thing for sure, “Americans don’t listen.”
I mean, seriously, what’s there to argue about? Whether or not anyone has the right to tell you to wear a mask. Nah, nobody argues about that. How about a contentious election? Come on, nobody has an unmoving opinion on that. Donald Trump? Seriously? Nobody argues about that guy. (Come to think of it, maybe you shouldn’t travel home for Thanksgiving.)
Dawn your “Ridin’ with Biden” tee shirt and wave your LGBTQ flag while pops sports a MAGA hat and turns up Fox News to full volume. Sure, it will be a wonderful, argument-free holiday celebration. But in case it isn’t, here’s a song to recognize festive family fisticuffs.
