Song of the Week: Robert Kraft

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft forced Macklemore off of Ed Sheeran’s North American tour due to the rapper’s pro-Palestinian messaging. It may be the proper time to note that Kraft, a billionaire, was caught up in a prostitution sting at an Asian massage parlor in Jupiter, Florida, in 2019. Thanks to his wealth, he successfully had the charges dropped.

One topic that has come up quite a bit in 2020 is justice. How it is not being served. In the case of my Song of the Week, it’s exactly that. An old, rich, white guy gets away with it. That guy is New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft.

You may remember back in February 2019. Kraft was busted in an undercover operation soliciting for prostitutes at a Juniper, Florida area massage parlor. The cops had video. Yes video evidence of his actions. But crafty Kraft had something better than the cops. He had money.

 

Armed with his high-priced attorneys, Kraft got the video evidence thrown out. And this week, without the “smoking gun, the state attorney, David Aronberg wrote in court documents, “Although there was probable cause to make an arrest, the evidence cannot prove all legally required elements of the crime alleged and is insufficient to support a criminal prosecution.”

So, while the women busted during the same sting lost their livelihoods and went to jail, the a-hole billionaire walks scot-free. Yeah, baby, that’s American justice for you. The rich have a different set of rules.

If you didn’t already hate the Patriots, here’s one more reason. And that reason is Robert f—king Kraft.
