On the first day of the month, the mayor of “Margaritaville,” Jimmy Buffett, passed away Ten days later, New York Jets witnessed the death of their season when signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down to a season-ending Achilles injury.

The same, boring back-and-forth continued in Congress, where parties stopped just short of a government shutdown.
We had some notable incarcerations during the ninth month of the year. Four of the Proud Boys were sentenced to long prison stays. Its leader, Enrique Tarrio, getting 22 years. Meantime, former “That 70’s Show” star, Danny Masterson got 30 years to life for rape. Yikes.
