I’m a radio guy. Obviously, audio is what it has always been about. However, when you don’t have a gig in radio, audio is really hard to push on the internet, social media and whatnot. Adding a video element is very important.

Check out my 10 Best Parody Songs of the Year

All you need, really, is an iPhone and video editing software. Having some extra time on your hands due to, let’s say, unemployment, certainly helps. I must also give credit where credit is due. Thank you, 2020 for providing a treasure trove of content opportunities.

Inspired by things like a shortage of toilet paper, Melania Trump’s love of Christmas, and former presidential candidate Tom Steyer’s belt. Here are my My Ten Best Video Bits for 2020.

#10 – “6 Months on the Beach” Tuesday, June 30, 2020

My year began with job loss. Six months later, that situation had not changed. This is a recap of how I spent my time.

#9 – “AARP Antifa Provocateur Training” Thursday, June 9, 2020

You remember that old dude that was knocked down by Buffalo, New York police during a protest. Later, the president claimed that the senior citizen in question was Antifa. Hell, he mighta been right.

#8 – “Tom Steyer’s Belt” Sunday, March 1, 2020

Nothing was quite as forgettable as the brief presidential run of businessman, Tom Steyer. What we will remember, however, was his colorful, Pinteresty belt.

#7 – “Trump Wars: The Orange Menace” Wednesday, June 3, 2020

Remember that time President Donald Trump gassed peaceful protesters so he could take an uncomfortable photo op with a bible in front of the church? Yeah, the music for this bit is all too appropriate.

#6 – “Georgia’s Grand Re-Opening” Tuesday, April 21, 2020

The pandemic was growing. Covid-19 cases were mounting. After a couple of weeks of half-measures, Georgia governor Brian Kemp said, “F it, we’re re-opening.” History will not treat him kindly.

#5 – “Spencepocalypse” Monday, September 7, 2020

I lost my job of some 20 years to begin 2020. I believe, possibly, I was the first domino to fall. The result? You’ve lived it. It’s what I call Spencepocalypse.

#4 – “Who Gives a F*** About the Christmas” Tuesday, October 6, 2020

Inspired by secretly recorded audio of First Lady Melania Trump’s revealing her dislike of Christmas decorations. Here’s a Hallmark Channel “Countdown to Christmas” exclusive.

#3 – “I’m Here” Thursday, June 4, 2020

Many people have struggled to understand Black Lives Matter. My belief is that these three statements are the starting point: I’m here. I’m listening. I want to learn.

#2 – “Redneck Bidet” Friday, March 13, 2020

In the early stages of the pandemic, people hoarded toilet paper. I still don’t understand why. Just in case it happens again, here’s a solution.

#1 – “An Unemployment Spencemas” Tuesday, December 1, 2020

Spencemas is the “holiest of a-holies.” A day of celebration of my birth, December 2nd. Each year, of course, we celebrate with Spencemas song and revelry. Here is my 2020 Spencemas album.
