I think, like most people, the helicopter crash that killed nine people including Kobe Bryant and his daughter, hit me harder than I expected. Just the night before, a happy Kobe was seen hugging LeBron James at a game in Philadelphia after LeBron passed Kobe on the all-time NBA scoring list. How can someone be here one minute and gone the next. All day, an old Garth Brooks song kept playing in my brain on repeat. “If Tomorrow Never Comes” is a solid reminder to never forget to tell the people in your life how important they are to you. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. With apologies to Garth, for the poor guitarsmanship, but this song kinda spoke to me today.
